Fun Science Activities + Snacks

 

Who: Elementary-aged children

 

What: Kids will experiment with suspended gold nanoparticles and color in one activity. In the other, they will be introduced to the principle behind scanning probe microscopy (a technique distinct from optical and electron-based microscopy) and explore nanostructures in nature. They will get to see how lotus leaves repel water and how butterfly wings get their brilliant iridescent color!

 

When: Thursday, July 28 from 4-5:30 pm

 

Where: Milas Hall lobby, Olin Campus

 

Why: Help us by testing activities developed for our science outreach summer project.
